York Minster took about 250 years to fully complete. I was surprised to learn that it’s bigger than Chartres. There is a massive reconstruction going on of the stained glass on the east end of the church. We got to see some of those revitalized panes up-close because they haven’t been replaced yet and the detail is really fantastic.

This wall along the North Transept, fully intact, was mostly abstract and was probably most impressive at a distance.
