When the sky is this kind of gray, it makes me remember street football on my block. And cold numb hands. And the way the football hurt when you caught it, which is why you did it. And rivalry. And a kind of game intensity that you don’t know you will lose when you get older. When those games lasted til dark and nobody wanted to go home. And the reason you went to bed is so you could do it again the next day.
