Edinburgh: Arrived the evening of our anniversary. Ate one of the best meals of the trip at a place called “The Grain Store.” There are no photos of the meal or the restaurant. I did the trying of scotches.

The next day was again improbably sunny. We spent it at The Castle and walking The Royal Mile. I tried more scotches.

Scotchy scotchy scotchy.

Walked. Ate. Saw more old buildings. Performed the climbing of steep inclines. Drank scotch.

The two buildings above were at the top-most part of the castle. The one on the left is a memorial for Scottish soldiers. The one on the right houses the Scottish Royal Jewels (The Honours of Scotland). Also inside was the room where Mary Queen of Scots gave birth to King James I of England. Ya know, just that.
