It wasn’t so much a “fence” that stood between us and the gators on the Anhinga Trail in Everglades National Park, as a weathered two-by-four mounted on some equally weathered posts.

If a being or creature were so motivated, it could easily be stepped over or crawled under, depending on your preference, or your natural, birth-given proximity to the ground.
