You almost never see a perfectly upright hydrant guard post. One or the other is always leaning a bit. It bothers my sense of symmetry. It’s uncomfortable to look at, but in a good way.
I do like the way the snow parts for the hydrant here. Like the Red Sea.
Speaking of the Bible, I said a few prayers for my tires and suspension when I drove into town on Sunday. The streets are never great, but they’re extra not great right now with the ice and salt and shit. The potholes and snow embankments make it a true off-roading experience. At one point, I even turned the four-wheel drive on. Which reminds me of when I had to use my four-wheel drive for the first time… in Dallas.
